Butuan City – Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga Regional Director Minda B. Brigoli assured that the agency has enough and available goods which are ready anytime Low Pressure Area (LPA)-affected local government units request for augmentation.
DSWD-Caraga continues to repack family food packs (FFPs) for replenishment of prepositioned goods to LGUs in Caraga.
Repacking started yesterday at 6:00 PM until today at DSWD Warehouse, Brgy. Tiniwisan, this city. Some 200 volunteers from Caraga State University, Father Saturnino Urios University, Commission on Higher Education, Bancasi 402nd Brigade, Office of Cong. Fortun and Mormons were mobilized to produce 5,000 family food packs before the day ends.
Each FFP contains 6 kls. rice, 8 pcs. noodles, 8 canned goods, and 8 pcs. 3-in-1 coffee.
As to date, there are 9, 486 family food packs available at the said warehouse and 5,000 family packs prepositioned to a municipality in Surigao del Sur and five (5) municipalities in the Province of Dinagat Islands.
As of time, prepositioned family food packs are 15, 486 worth Php 6.2M to 10 LGUs in Caraga.
RD Brigoli assured that there will be a continuous repacking of family packs for the next 3 days targeting 15,000 FFPs.
