Procurement Team volunteers of Brgy. Bangayan (Kitcharao, Agusan Del Norte), together with the Brgy. Chairman Nonito V. Senonis, post invitation to bid at the Kitcharao Transport Terminal for service providers/technical assistance providers for their community water system project. Kalahi-CIDSS train and utilize community volunteers in the sub-project implementation from the conception of the community sub-project proposal, procurement, sub-project implementation, down to the operations and maintenance of the sub-project once completed. This way, the community develops that sense of ownership of their community sub-projects, increasing likelihood of the community ensuring functionality and sustainability of their sub-projects; In the process, empowering them to step up and take on an active role in deciding for solutions to their community’s most pressing needs.
