Barangay officials and volunteers of Brgy. Magupange, Placer, Surigao del Norte render free service in doing the final touches of their newly completed 1,500 linear-meters water system community sub-project (Rehabilitation/Improvement) implemented under Kalahi-CIDSS.

The community was very eager to fast-track the completion of their sub-project since their community has suffered from decrease in water supply to their households because of the damaged, worn out water pipes.

The problem was so intense, that two (2) puroks, at a point, were quarreling over the water supply to their respective areas. But with Kalahi-CIDSS, the problem was solved. The old pipes have been changed to newer and bigger ones, ready to supply all three (3) puroks in the barangay.

In addition, the implementation has also provided eight (8) tap stands which are strategically positioned to service the households in the community.
