Butuan City- The “Ikaw ug ang DSWD (Kuyog sa Kabag-uhan)” radio program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga already started airing live last June 3, 2016 at Sunny FM 103.1.

Aired every Friday, 6:45-7:30 AM, it features different programs of DSWD as well its services for the poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged sectors.

The radio program is an initiative of the Social Marketing Unit (SMU) to inform, share, educate, and inspire the general public and other stakeholders.

Its primary objectives are to share to the general public about the positive change experienced by the partner-beneficiaries of the different programs and services of DSWD, to generate responses, feedback, and comments from the public, and to update the general public on the latest activities and status of the program implementation of the Department.

Invited guests are partner-beneficiaries and DSWD program/project focal persons.

The first episode of the program aired last June 3, which tackled about the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program followed by Sustainable Livelihood Program on June 10, 2016, and Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) on June 18, 2016.

The next episode will talk about Listahanan, formerly known as National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction, on June 24, 2016. Other programs and services will be the topics in the succeeding episodes.
