Cristine Alapag from Lakandula, Placer, Surigao del Norte tightly hugs her 90-year old grandmother, Ermitania, who is a Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program partner beneficiary. As a grantee’s granddaughter, she was able to avail the Expanded Student Grants-in-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation (ESGPPA) scholarship that aided her to finish Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Technology at Mindanao State University.
“Nagpasalamat gajud ako sa akong lola kay tungod niya naapil ko isip apo nga makabenepisyo sa Pantawid Pamilya, hinungdan nga nahatagan ko og higayon nga ma-scholar sa ESGPPA (I am really thankful to my grandmother because as her granddaughter I became a beneficiary of Pantawid Pamilya, that’s why I was given the chance to become an ESGPPA scholar),“ Cristine says###DSWDFieldOfficeCaragaSocialMarketingUnit###
