Standing with pride and hope are just 4 out of the 200 grateful grantees of the pre and post-harvest facilities from Sustainable Livelihood Program – PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn (SLP-PAMANA).

Having corn and rice production as their source of livelihood, the four (4) SLP-PAMANA associations in the municipality of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur received 4 tractors with implements such as Disc Plow, Disc Harrow, Rotivator/Cultivator, and 3-Tonner Trailer.

A 28.5-hectare corn field and 10.5-hectare rice field will be served by the said facilities. Eager to take full advantage and have an improved quality of life, the group agreed to also have it for lease.

Just like these equipment, the 200 hopeful SLP program participants continue to plow the feat they have been longing for a long time; an impossible feat not until DSWD SLP-PAMANA came. ###(MARY CARMELLE C. JUMAWAN/Social Marketing Unit/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
