BUTUAN CITY- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga provided augmentation support on May 27, 2017 by sending 10,000 Family Food Packs (FFPs) for the victims displaced due to the on-going gun fight between the government forces and local terrorist in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Each family food pack consists of 6 kilos of rice, 6 canned goods, and 8 sachets of 3-in-1 coffee. Also, the department will deliver an additional of 5,000 malong and 1,000 hygiene kits for the families who are currently staying in the evacuation centers in Region X and ARRM.

The total cost of assistance amounts to around 4 million pesos.

Meanwhile, OIC Regional Director Mita Chuchi Gupana-Lim calls for unity in helping the families affected by the siege.
