The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga intensified its information drive disseminating Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials during the conduct of various program payouts amid the Novel Coronavirus 2019 pandemic threats.

The agency continued the distribution of several flyers, brochures and magazines to program beneficiaries and their companions during the 2nd – semester payout of the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens program and during the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) activities.

 

 

The information caravan aims to provide reliable information on the different programs and services of the Department together with the updates of the Field Office’s accomplishments. Through this, the participants were able to raise questions and clarifications with regards to the Department’s programs and services through an open forum session, wherein the information officers from the agency responded to and clarified.

 

One of the DSWD Information Officers distributes various IEC Materials such as flyers, brochures and magazines to Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) beneficiaries at Barangay Poblacion, Bayugan City Agusan del Sur last August 19, 2020.

Participants of the above-mentioned activities/payouts were introduced and given the updates on the following programs and services: Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) Program, Listahanan, UCT, Social Pension (SocPen), Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), Adoption, Centers/Residential Care Facilities, Disaster Response and Rehabilitation.

Amidst the ever-increasing number of cases caused by COVID-19 pandemic, DSWD Caraga still looks forward to conducting more modified information caravan to constantly educate and update the Caraganons on the different programs and services the agency has to offer and the benefits of each program to the people especially the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged.
