The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Caraga continues to monitor the compliance of its beneficiaries through simultaneous checking of their cash cards.

Even with the current risks posted by the pandemic, the field workers – Social Welfare Assistants, City/Municipal Links, Community Facilitators, Administrative Assistants, LGU Links among others, headed by their Social Welfare Officer III and Provincial Links, visit far-flung barangays and even crossing raging seas just to conduct the monitoring of cash cards.

The beneficiaries use cash cards to withdraw grants from Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) of Land Bank and other banks. In the past, the pawning of these cash cards has been an issue, thus the need to monitor them regularly.

The payment of grants may be put on hold, suspended and subjected to eventual termination due to 1) alleged violations on the rules and policies, 2) non-compliance to the Program’s conditions, and 3) ineligibility. All cases go through due process as stipulated in the program’s grievance redress policies, as indicated in the 4Ps Operations Manual (Chapter 9). ###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
