Through the efforts of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga and the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) personnel, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries of in the region finally received their unclaimed cash grants.

Julita Albero Samosino and Richel D. Olaran, 4Ps beneficiaries, received their accumulated cash grants after their change of address requests were approved.

Ms. Samosino, 59 years old, formerly resides in Caloocan City (National Capital Region), is now transferred to Purok 4, Sitio Tagkiling, Barangay Anticala, Butuan City together with her family. She filed a request of change address to the assigned City Link Officer (CLO) and the request was approved last April 25, 2019. Since then, Ms. Samosino was unable to receive her cash grant bi-monthly since her request was still on process at the Land Bank Central Office.

Even so, her compliance to the said program continued as her children adhered to more than 85% attendance in school, while she attended the monthly Family Development Sessions (FDS).

On May 18, 2021, the grantee was scheduled for an Over-the-counter (OTC) release but unfortunately, the grantee had mild stroke which made her bedridden.

With this, DSWD personnel coordinated with the LBP staff and facilitated the special payout inside the residence of the said beneficiary. Assisted by his son, they received the accumulated grants amounting to Php63,850.00.

On the other hand, Ms. Olaran, is an active member of 4ps, who transferred residence to Barangay Manila de Bugabos, Butuan City from Barangay Catungas, Mainit, Surigao del Norte. She received her EMV cash card through bank-to-bank transaction. And Finally, after 16 months of waiting, she claimed her grants amounting to Php29,7000.00. ###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
