To establish a formal partnership on their Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives, DSWD Field Office Caraga and the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Caraga signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), on June 25, 2021.

OIC-RD Jamen, DC/RPC Celeste signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CHR Caraga.

Both parties agreed to work together in good faith to ensure the realization of the GAD projects and advocacies, and to provide services for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, such as:

  1. Developing IEC materials and standard training modules;
  2. Referring of clients who need SWD programs, and human rights violations/cases in need of intervention or monitoring;
  3. Providing human resources to serve as subject matter experts during capacity building activities; and
  4. Assisting the beneficiaries on matters related to gender-based violence, women’s/children’s rights, and other marginalized sectors, among others.

The MOU was signed by DSWD FO Caraga OIC-Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen, CHR Caraga Regional Human Rights Director Atty. Jerefe D. Tubigon-Bacang, and 4Ps Division Chief/Regional Program Coordinator Crislea D. Celeste.

The understanding outlined in the MOU shall subsist until a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is completed, or until the effectivity dated on June 30, 2023 whichever is earlier. ###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
