BUENAVISTA, AGUSAN DEL NORTE- In collaboration with the other National Government Agencies (NGAs) in the region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga joined the mini caravan headed by the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) on October 15, 2021 in Barangay 6, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.

The activity, which aims to bring social basic services of the government to the people at the grassroots level, was a good venue for the department to provide necessary information to the community about the programs and services of the agency by answering queries, particularly the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT), Listahanan, and Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Program.

The team also distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to the public, especially to the barangay workers and officials.

With the goal of educating the general public of DSWD’s programs and services, DSWD’s  Social Marketing Section (SMS) will continue to conduct its own quarterly information caravan in selected municipalities in Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur. ###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
