The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga joins the Duterte Legacy Caravan: Barangayanihan Towards National Recovery activity launching, spearheaded by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), at the Cabadbaran Covered Tennis Courts, Cabadbaran City on September 30, 2021.

Agusan del Norte Governor, Dale V. Corvera. in his opening remarks, shared significant achievements of the Duterte administration.

In his opening remarks, Agusan del Norte Governor, Hon. Dale V. Corvera presented the numerous achievements of the Duterte Administration in aiding the needs of the Filipino people. Moreover, he highlighted the successful implementation of the ‘Build, Build, Build’ Program that was made possible through Duterte’s prioritization of infrastructure projects all over the country.

“Ang pag implementar sa ‘Build, Build, Build Program’ nga wala nahitabo sa mga niaging administrasyon nahimong posible karong panahuna. Kini mga ka-igsoonan, akong gi-ampo nga ang sunod unta nga administrasyon, mapadayon kining mga programaha. Apan para kanako, dili malimtan sa katawhan ang legasiya nga gibilin ni President Rodrigo Roa Durterte sa ato (The implementation of the ‘Build, Build, Build’ Program, which never happened in the past administrations was made possible this time. I pray my brothers, that this program will continue to be implemented in the next administration. But for me, this legacy of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will never be forgotten by the people),” Corvera said.

DSWD Regional Information Officer, Marko Davey D. Reyes, share the accomplishments of the Field Office as to its services and programs implemented.

On the other hand, Regional Information Officer Marko Davey Reyes, speaking on behalf of OIC Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen, highlighted the accomplishments of the Field Office, especially on programs and services during President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s term (2016-present). DSWD is thankful to the Duterte administration for its support to the social welfare and social protection programs of the agency, providing optimum budget allocation to implement programs and services directed towards poor, marginalized, and disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities.

“DSWD strives to address the problems of the Filipinos, especially during this pandemic. The agency continues to work with the National Government to provide for the needs of the poor, marginalized, and the disadvantaged individuals, families and communities, even with the threats of the pandemic. With the support and confidence of President Duterte, the Field Office continues to provide maagap at mapagkalingang serbisyo na may malasakit to the people of Caraga,” Reyes conveyed the message of Director Jamen.

Information Officers from DSWD distribute IEC materials to all participants of the Duterte Legacy event.

During the said activity, the Field Office also distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to the participants, and opened its booth to address queries and concerns about the programs and services of the agency.#
