The member agencies of the 2-day assessment and meeting.

The Regional Disaster Response Committee (RDRC) Post Odette Operational Assessment and 2nd Quarterly meeting is being conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, June 29-30, 2022, at the Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City.

 

The meeting is the venue for the RDRC members to provide assessment and feedback on the conducted response operations for Typhoon Odette and at the same time, share their updates and accomplishments which will be used for the improvement of future disaster response operations.

 

Ms. Melanie G. Juan, Chief of the DSWD FO Caraga Disaster Response Management Division, facilitated the meeting on behalf of OIC-Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen, who is attending a similarly significant activity.

The Department is ensuring that respective agencies deliver their part in providing interventions and to enhance its preparedness and response operations during disaster.

 

The meeting is participated by the representatives from the following RDRC member agencies: DOST PAG-ASA, DOH, DILG, DepEd, DILG, DA, OCD, DICT, DOLE, DPWH, PNP, AFP, PPA, PIA, DENR, DAR and DFA.

 

Meanwhile, Ms. Juan, commended the member agency’s detailed updates, its initiatives and response operations as it facilitated provision of services during the devastation of Typhoon Odette, especially the access to communication which was identified as the most challenging during the response period.
