To ensure the feasibility of the projects proposed under Executive Order 70 (EO 70), series of 2018, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga conducted a project site validation in conflict-vulnerable areas in Cabadbaran City and Tubay, Agusan del Norte on July 19, 2022.

The activity, which falls under the third phase of the project implementation process, serves as a venue for Department to thoroughly check if the project sites are appropriate and sustainable for the target projects submitted by the beneficiaries or associations.

During the validation, six associations were validated by the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). SLP is one of the lead programs implementing EO 70, s. of 2018 in the Department.

The associations validated by the SLP-RPMO are as follows:

  • Lusong SLP Association (Cabadbaran City)

After the validation, these associations are set to receive a grant of Php300,000 as a seed capital fund to establish their proposed livelihoods. DSWD-SLP hopes that this livelihood intervention will improve the economic condition of individuals and families in conflict-vulnerable areas.

Under Executive Order 70, series of 2018, the DSWD-SLP is delegated to provide livelihood interventions to former rebels and associations in conflict-vulnerable areas to help them attain a peaceful, progressive, and sustainable life. (Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
