To ensure the smooth implementation of the Risk Resiliency Program – Cash For Work (RRP-CFW) projects in Caraga Region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Disaster Response Management Bureau  conducted a 5-day Evaluation and Monitoring Visit in Field Office Caraga on September 5-10, 2022.

Hiasma Gani, DRMB Program Focal from the Central Office, visited the mangroves project in the islet of Maribojoc, San Benito, Siargao Islands.

The DRMB which is the DSWD Central Office’ arm in crafting policies and programs for disaster response management,  spearhead the 5-day activity that was attended by top management of the Field Office Caraga and the RRP-CFW implementing provinces of the region.

On Monday, September 5, the Team from the Central Office, headed by Program Focal Person Hiasma M. Gani, together with Technical Staff Tanya Galapon and, MER and Planning Focal Person Kelvin Fugaban, started their visit with a courtesy call to the top management of the Field Office. The team then proceeded to the municipalities of Santiago and Cabadbaran City, Agusan Del Norte for a field visit.

 

After conducting Focus Group Discussions and consultations with implementing partners and beneficiaries, the objectives of the said visit were met as DRMB team provided feedback and technical assistance to the team from the Field Office.

 

The project monitoring culminated with an exit conference, where the different findings and observations were presented, including their recommendations. FO Caraga, on the other hand, gained word of affirmations from DRMB-CO as it recognizes the excellent implementation of the program without sugarcoating the small amount of findings encountered.

Field Office’ Program Focal Rutchel Molino and Engineer Oriel Jacobe facilitated the visit of the Central Office to one of the projects implemented in Tubay, Agusan Del Norte – the public toilet project.
