Donned in red vests, staff of Field Office Caraga facilitated the delivery of food and non-food items to the fire victims.

With the recent fire incident that happened in Purok Moonglow, Barangay Bag-ong Lungsod, Tandag City on November 2, 2022, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga through its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), immediately sent its augmentation support to the fire-affected families and individuals on the same day after the fire incident.

 

The incident directly affects 20 families and 46 tenants in the vicinity that the fire destroyed. As requested by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tandag City, FO Caraga dispatched Family Food Packs (FFPs), Hygiene Kits, and Kitchen Kits.

Non-Food Items (NFIs) being prepared, and are ready for augmentation support in the fire-affected individuals.

Number of FFPs and Non-Food Items (NFIs) delivered are as follows;

  • 106 Family Food Packs (FFPs)
  • 20 hygiene kits
  • 20 kitchen kits

On November 7, 2022, additional items were also delivered. Here is the breakdown of the said items:

  • 146 blankets
  • 20 cut plastic tarpaulin
  • 106 collapsible water container
