A total of 6,858 families in Caraga Region have graduated from DSWD’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) this year.

Graduation ceremonies dubbed “Katumanan” were held recently in different local government units around the region. Such ceremonies were graced by city/municipal officials, DSWD Caraga staff, and partner stakeholders.

Katumanan, which is Bisaya word for “fulfillment”, is indeed the realization of the dreams of these families who now exit the program as they are now out of extreme poverty and are now self-sufficient.

Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), is a human development measure of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0-18.
