The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga continues payouts of the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SocPen) for the month of December.

The 4th quarter payouts in December kick started in Surigao City, while special payouts that cater to senior citizens who were not able to claim their Php1,500 per quarter worth of stipend for valid reasons such as medical and travel concerns were scheduled based on the availability of the Local Government Units (LGU).

Along with the scheduling is the continued validation and revalidation of potential beneficiaries in the different LGUs in the region to ensure that the allocated slots available for the senior citizens are appropriated.

The Social Pension Program Management Officers (SPPMO) remind beneficiaries to stay at home and be in reach so that they would be able to claim their stipends to avoid delisting, and for them to be identified during validation.

As of December 15, 2022, 171,483 beneficiaries have already received stipends totaling to Php257,224,000.00.

Schedules are coordinated with the Local Social Welfare and Development Offices for them to further disseminate information to our beneficiaries
