As registration for new potential beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) is set to start February 2023, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga reiterates that such program is not something you can apply to.

The 4Ps Caraga said the list of potential beneficiaries of 4Ps for this year is the result of the Listahanan 3 Survey or the 3rd Round Nationwide Household Assessment conducted in 2019-2022. Listahanan, also known as the National Household Targeting System (NHTS), is an information management system that identifies who and where the poor are in the country. It seeks to gather relevant and meaningful data about poor households.

The Listahanan 3 database is now accessible to the public. [Read story here: https://caraga.dswd.gov.ph/2023/01/listahanan-3-database-now-accessible-to-the-public/ ]

Those families listed as poorest of the poor based on NHTS are considered to be included in the list of potential beneficiaries of 4Ps.

DSWD Caraga reminds individuals, who want to become 4Ps beneficiaries but are not in the list of potential 4Ps beneficiaries, to avoid going to the Field Office “to apply for the program”. The Department added that anybody who have grievances or questions regarding the program to contact the 4Ps Caraga Grievance Hotline Number at 0969-327-0254.

The 4Ps, implemented by DSWD, is a human development measure of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0-18.

A total of 51,113 households in Caraga Region are set to be included as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in 2023, as addition/replacement to the over 170,000 active 4Ps household beneficiaries in the region.

Registration of these 51,113 households (Set 12 registration) will start in February until March this year. Names of potential household beneficiaries will be posted in the barangays.
