FO Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga, welcomed the participants of the 3-day training.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga through its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), conducted a 3-day Training on Humanitarian Supply Chain Management Course for its Quick Response Team (QRT) members at LCA Garden Inn, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, on February 21-23, 2023.

 

Primarily, the activity served as an avenue to equip the QRT members with the ability to quickly construct and operate a supply chain during disaster-response operations.

 

Topics discussed for the whole duration of training were the; Disaster Response Context and Legal Framework; Humanitarian Supply Chain Management; Logistics Assessment, Preparedness, and Planning; Procurement Management; Donations Management; Designing and Selecting a Warehouse; Warehouse Safety; Facilities Management; Inventory Management; Production Management; Quality Management; Transport Management, and; Distribution and Volunteer Management.

Resource persons from the National Resource and Logistics Management (NRLMB) Training Specialist Clifford Robin Gabatin, Administrative Officer Justice John Banzuela, and VDRC Head Irish Flor Yaranon were on hand to carry out the said training. DSWD Field Office Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga welcomed all the guests from the Central Office, and all the QRT members to the 3-day workshop and hopes for the success of the said training.
