The Association of DSWD Social Workers, Incorporated (ADSWI) – DSWD Field Office Caraga Chapter held its post-World Social Work Day 2023 today, May 10, 2023 at the DSWD Covered Court.

The activity is part of the 72nd Anniversary celebration of Field Office Caraga where a series of activities has been conducted to acknowledge partners, stakeholders, and most especially the workforce that is the backbone of the Agency.

The activity, dubbed ADSWI-lebrity in Focus is aimed to boost the morale of Social Workers and discover their full potential through a one-day activity that gives a breather from their day to day work.

Role of Social Workers. Resource Speaker Ms. Alma A. Patron emphasizes role of SWs in bringing change in the communities.

With the theme, “Respecting Diversity Through Joint Social Action” key note speaker Ms. Alma A. Patron, Administrative Division Chief of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga emphasized the role of Social Workers in advocating for inclusivity and reinforcing the purpose of the profession that is to help bring the change needed in the communities.

 

 

Gratitude and praise. Dir. Dollaga expressed appreciation to DSWD Caraga’s Social Workers.

Moreover, Field Office Director Mari-Flor Dollaga in her inspirational speech expressed her gratitude and praise to the Agency’s Social Workers. She highlighted their unique characters that bring about impact to the lives of clients they face. She also reminded them to always serve with love, dignity, and most of all integrity, bringing genuine, efficient, and effective service to the people.

 

One of the highlight of the activity was the Service Awards that recognized the contribution, sacrifices and dedication of the Social Workers who have been and are still with the Agency through the years.
