The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga reiterates the existence of Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Satellite offices to clients availing of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).
Even though Caraga is smaller in scale and in population than other regions, it cannot be denied that the programs and services of the Agency cannot be easily accessed by many others especially those in the islands and geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA).
Clients from the different provinces of the region are advised to visit SWAD satellite offices that are nearest to their places of residence to avail social services that can be accommodated at the established SWAD satellite office.
AICS is among the social services that can be accommodated at the satellite offices, it is a social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crises such as illness or death of a family member, natural and man-made disasters, and other crisis situations.
SWAD satellite offices in the different provinces of the region are as follows:
Agusan del Norte – R. Palma St., Brgy. Dagohoy, Butuan City
Agusan del Sur – Saint Francis Realty Building, Brgy. Hubang, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur (beside the SSS building)
Surigao del Norte – Leyson Real Estate, Navarro St., Barangay Taft, Surigao City, Katabaan, Brgy. 12, Dapa, Surigao del Norte,
Province of Dinagat Islands – San Juan Barangay Hall, P-2, Brgy. San Juan, San Jose, PDI
This reminder to the public is in line with DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian’s directive to continue the Agency’s efforts in providing government assistance in the most convenient way possible to those who are in need.
