Supplementary Feeding Program Lea Alegarbes shares the importance of healthy living and getting the proper nutrients during the nutria-quiz bowl on July 28, 2023.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) of the Protective Services Division, organized a series of activities the field office employees participated in as part of the culmination of the 2023 Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme, “Healthy Diet Gawing Affordable for All,” on July 28, 2023.

The culmination started with a nutri-quiz bowl wherein the Promotive Services Division emerged as champions. At the same time, the Human Resource Management and Development Division and Policy and Plans Division took the second and third spots, respectively.

Participants raise their boards to show their answers during the easy round of the nutri quiz bowl.

Other activities included a nutritional cooking demonstration, free blood-sugar testing, and free nutrition counseling by the National Nutrition Council-Caraga Region. Private companies were also invited to set up booths and promote their products, as well as the Department of Agriculture-PhilRice.

Partners from the National Nutrition Council-Caraga Region facilitate free nutrition counseling to the staff of the Field Office.

This initiative is a contribution of the Field Office to raise public awareness about the value of good nutrition and to promote a healthy lifestyle. (Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
