DSWD Field Office Caraga, through the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) and Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, participates in the 49th Nutrition Month Celebration and Caraga Regional Launching of the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Caraga at Caraga State University (CSU) Main Campus, Ampayon, Butuan City – July 3, 2023.

During a press conference, SFP emphasized the importance of the utilization of community participation procurement amongst partners and stakeholders that will enable opportunities for community level livelihoods.

Moreover, DSWD Caraga answered queries on the pilot program Food Provision Through Strategic Transfers and Alternative Measures Program (FOOD STAMP) under Walang Gutom 2027 and further explained that the program aims to promote and highlight the importance of food security and food consumption among the daily needs of the food-poor household and consequently mitigate involuntary hunger due to extreme poverty.

With the theme “Healthy Diet gawing affordable FOR ALL!” DSWD FO Caraga reinforced commitment in support of the campaign through the continuous implementation of the Agency’s mandate to provide equal access to opportunities, enabled by a fair, just, and peaceful society especially to the poor and vulnerable. This is to extend intervention in reducing under nutrition for a productive citizenry in the future.
