The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office (FO) Caraga Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) conducts two batches of its Program Implementation Review (PIR) for the progam’s 12th Cycle Implementation in 2022 – October, 2023.

 

Local Government Unit (LGU) accountants, Local Social Welfare and Development Officers (LSDWO), and LGU focal persons from Caraga participated in the constructive dialogue during discussions as the activity seeks to improve the execution of SFP and maximize its impact, especially to the children.

CONCERNS. Participants raise issues and concerns about SFP implementation.

The dialogue covered accomplishments, challenges, program guidelines, budget, and procurement processes. Moreover, the activity was an avenue for to voice concerns and ask questions. SFP Focal Person Lea Alegarbes and DSWD Caraga Accountant Gretchen Escala, capped off the discussion and addressed the issues raised.

RESPONSE. DSWD Caraga Accountant Gretchen Escala, CPA answers queries on SFP process of budget and funds.

On the other hand, the highlight of the PIR was the recognition of top-performing stakeholders from the LGUs to show respect for their pious efforts for the children who are the target beneficiaries of the program.

“SFP has been faring well in its performance in implementation at the national level, and we could not have done that without your support. Magpasalamat mi because dili namo na ma achieve na performance without the support and assistance from you – from the Local Government Units (We thank you because we [the regional office] would not be able to achieve this good performance without the support and assistance from the Local Government Units),” Aranas said.

 

The PIR allows the Field Office to chart a path forward for implementing the 13th Cycle of SFP.
