An interactive play in determining its roles and responsibilities in implementing CFS.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), successfully conducted the 3-day Child-Friendly Space Management Training, attended by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers and other Local Government Unit representatives, at the Balanghai Hotel, Butuan City, on November 15-17, 2023.

 

Child-Friendly Space Management Training aims to ensure that children affected by emergencies receive the necessary support, prioritizing their well-being, protection, and development.

DRMD Chief Melanie Juan is one of the resource persons of the 3-day CFS management training.

Topics discussed include Rights of the Child; RA 10821; Child Protection in Emergencies; Introduction to Child-Friendly Space (CFS); Implementing CFS; CFS Actors, Roles, and Responsibilities; Case Management; and Reporting Tool.

Participants, actively get engaged in the activities.

Along with these crucial discussions were role-playing and interactive activities in between, which made it more engaging, enabling them to easily gain knowledge about establishing CFS during crises.
