The audit team from the Central Office was accompanied by DSWD Caraga’s Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, Disaster Response Management Division Chief Melanie Juan, and staff.

 

For a proactive effort towards accountability and transparency, the DSWD Central Office, through its Internal Audit Service, conducted a simultaneous audit of the release and distribution of Food and Non-Food Items (F/NFI) during response operations among its Field Offices today, December 1, 2023.

Dir. Marijoy Segui of DSWD’s Internal Audit Service led the audit team.

Field Offices included in the audit are FO 1, 3, 8, Caraga, the Visayas Disaster Resource Center (VDRC), and the National Resource Operation Center (NROC).

 

The audit assesses the efficiency and integrity of the entire process, from the F/NFI content packaging to the warehouse location. This is to ensure the highest standard in the allocation and distribution of resources to disaster-affected families.

 

The Department remains steadfast in its pursuit of excellence, aiming not just to simply provide disaster-affected families with F/NFI, but to ensure standards, emphasizing quality and safety in its relief items.
