Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, visited the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Office in Tandag City, preparing for the Secretary’s visit.

As a magnitude 7.4 earthquake last night (December 2, 2023) shook Mindanao especially the Caraga Region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga immediately activated its Quick Response Team (QRT) to address unfolding situations.

 

The QRT was active in heightening emergency measures across the affected areas. This is for the field office to quickly respond to the needs of the LGUs as they arise.

Afterward, the Field Office took proactive steps by conducting a simultaneous comprehensive assessment and validation in the earthquake-affected municipalities of Surigao del Sur on December 3, 2023.

 

Led by Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, this concerted effort aims to provide an in-depth assessment of the affected communities and facilitate possible needs.
