The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, in collaboration with the Landbank of the Philippines – Surigao Branch and the Local Government Units of RTR, Agusan del Norte, Gigaquit, and Claver, Surigao del Norte, carried out the distribution of unclaimed cash cards to beneficiaries of the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT)-Listahanan program on May 7-8, 2024.

The distribution was conducted to allow beneficiaries to claim their unclaimed cash card even after several payouts have been made over the past years.

Also, the Listahanan team convened a coordination meeting with Landbank staff to discuss the potential scheduling of distributions in other municipalities under their jurisdiction.

The UCT is the biggest tax reform mitigation program under the Duterte Administration. It seeks to provide cash grants to poor households and individuals who may not benefit from the lower income tax rates but may affected by rising prices. Although the program officially concluded in 2020, there are still cash cards awaiting distribution from the LBP.
