The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)Field Office Caraga joins in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) for the province of Surigao del Sur in Bislig City today, June 21, 2024.

 

The BPSF is the initiative of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. in bringing the government’s “Maayos, Mabilis, Maginhawa, at Masayang Serbisyo” to the people through various pockets of services, extended to different sectors.

The Field Office distributed cash assistance to qualified Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program beneficiaries at the De La Salle John Bosco College, Bislig City.

 

Cash Assistance were also distributed through the Integrated Scholarships and Incentives Program (ISIP) for the youth at the Bislig Cultural Center, Start-up Incentives Business Opportunity and Livelihood (SIBOL) at the Andres Soriano College, and through the Cash and Rice Distribution Program (CARD) at the Mangagoy Gym.

 

DSWD Assistant Secretary for Regional Operations Paul Ledesma ably represented DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian during the activty. Asec. Ledesma, together with DSWD Field Office Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, joined House Speaker Martin Romualdez in the ceremonial distribution of the services of the Agency.

 

The Field Office also distributed family food packs to those who were not qualified to receive the AICS cash assistance.

DSWD, after weeks of planning and coordination with the Office of the President, the House of Representatives, Office of the House Speaker, Office of the 1st and 2nd District Representatives of Surigao del Sur, Provincial LGU of Surigao del Sur, and the LGUs of Surigao del Sur, ensures that its services reach those who deserve and are qualified during the said Serbisyo Fair.
