Blue, which signifies joy, innocence, and potential is the color associated with the Children’s Month observance every November.
With this, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga is showing its support to the celebration by wearing BLUE every Friday for the month of November.
Established through Republic Act No. 10661, this month-long celebration aims to ensure that Filipino children have access to quality education, healthy environments, and adequate healthcare. It also raises awareness about children’s rights and encourages communities to create spaces where children can thrive.
The Agency believes that through this advocacy, and with the appropriate laws and systems in place to protect and safeguard the rights and welfare of children, communities will thrive with all groups and sectors doing its share for Nation Building, including children.
