The Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (RIACAT-VAWC), in collaboration with the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC), led the “Sinina Ko, Pagbuot Ko” Exhibit 3.0 at SM City Butuan, located in the Cinema Square. Additionally, free legal services were available at the Orange Help Desk.
As part of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, legal officers from various agencies provided free consultations, legal advice, and notarial services aimed at supporting and protecting vulnerable groups, particularly women. The Orange Help Desk and the Exhibit ran until December 6, 2024, from 10 AM to 5 PM.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga also engaged with the youth through the exhibit, addressing misconceptions about violence against women, including the harmful notion that a woman’s clothing can invite abuse.
This initiative strives to raise awareness and encourage the younger generation to take a stand against this ongoing issue.
