To up for this year’s implementation of Project LAWA at BINHI, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga conducted a series of courtesy calls on January 13-17, 2025 with its partner provincial and local government units (P/LGUs) throughout the Caraga Region.
The courtesy calls aimed to strengthen collaboration with its partner P/LGUs, ensuring that the project runs smoothly and makes a real impact in the communities it serves.
In 2024, a total of 293 projects were successfully implemented across 25 local government units (LGUs) in Caraga, benefiting 7,330 partner beneficiaries throughout the region.
Project LAWA at BINHI, or the Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished, is one of DSWD’s proactive efforts to combat hunger. It addresses water scarcity and food insecurity in the region by empowering disaster-prone communities through agricultural development.
