
In a timely response to the adverse effects of the Shear Line weather system, which caused significant flooding in the municipality of La Paz and other areas in Agusan del Sur, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga successfully distributed Family Food Packs (FFPs) to affected families.
A total of 1,793 families from the barangays of Panagangan, Comota, and Adgawan in La Paz received essential food assistance to help alleviate the impact of the disaster. This augmentation support is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to provide immediate relief to communities affected by disasters.
As of March 4, 2025, the DSWD Field Office Caraga has distributed a cumulative total of 5,015 FFPs across the affected municipalities in Agusan del Sur. Below is the detailed breakdown of FFP distribution by municipality:
Prosperidad: 2,479 FFPs
Esperanza: 743 FFPs
La Paz: 1,793 FFPs
