The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) continues the second batch of its Regional Information Caravan and Orientation on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Operations, Processes, and Systems—this time held in the Province of Dinagat Islands.

Given the region’s vulnerability to natural hazards, the caravan serves as a vital platform for providing a comprehensive orientation on DSWD’s updated disaster-related protocols and programs. These include the Guidelines on the Prepositioning and Distribution of Relief Goods, the Early Recovery Program Framework, and the integration of digital tools in disaster response operations.

The activity also allows for the discussion of local concerns, along with warehouse visitations to ensure that relief goods are properly stored, accurately accounted for, and ready for immediate deployment in times of emergency.
